Jillat Workplace is a dynamic initiative (2025–2030) that provides an inspiring, professional hub for dance professionals and artists.
Through quarterly intensive work weeks featuring participant-led dance classes, creative workshops, and expert lectures on funding and project development, the project fosters innovation, networking, and professional growth across northern Sweden's cultural landscape.
Spanning from 2025 to 2030, Jillat Workplace is a pioneering project designed to create a vibrant meeting space for dance professionals and other artists from across northern Sweden.
Held quarterly at Jillat – Samiskt Danscenter, each work week invites five regional experts to immerse themselves in an intensive program of creative collaboration.
The initiative combines daily dance classes led by the participants with interactive workshops and a focused lecture on grant writing and alternative financing opportunities.
This structured environment not only promotes the exchange of ideas and artistic experimentation but also lays the foundation for enduring professional networks and innovative dance forms.
By uniting talent from Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland Härjedalen, and Västernorrland, Jillat Workplace strengthens regional cultural ecosystems and paves the way for future creative breakthroughs.
