Screendance Film
A memory, a feeling is a project connected to Låvda Sápmi Screendance Festival and you can apply to get funding to create a short screendance film, 3-5 min

About the Project
A Memory, A Feeling is an opportunity for Sámi dancers, choreographers, and filmmakers to create a short screendance film (3-5 minutes) that will be showcased as part of the lead-up to Låvda Sápmi Screendance Festival 2025. This initiative aims to strengthen Sámi storytelling through dance and film while offering artists professional development and visibility.
Selected artists will receive funding to create a screendance film, which will be used in the festival’s marketing campaign and distributed through Jillat – Sámi Dance Center’s digital channels, screenings, and partner platforms.
This is a unique chance to experiment with screendance as a medium, explore personal or cultural narratives, and be part of an international dance film movement.
